Collect every wedding photo from your guests - without chasing a single one

Your guests will take hundreds of photos on your wedding day. Your cousin's perfectly timed confetti shot. Your nan dabbing her eyes during the vows. That ridiculous dance floor moment at midnight. Right now, those photos are scattered across dozens of phones, lost in camera rolls, buried in WhatsApp groups that nobody checks after Monday.

Gather & Group gives your guests one simple place to upload their photos - and gives you one beautiful album with everything in it. No chasing, no "can you send me that?", no wondering what you missed.

The problem every couple faces

You get home from your honeymoon, sit down to look at photos, and realise you've only seen a fraction of what was captured. The photographer's professional shots are gorgeous, but they can't be everywhere - they weren't at the bar when your school friends recreated that old photo, or at the kids' table when your nephew fell asleep in the cake.

Your guests caught those moments. But getting the photos from them? That's where it falls apart.

You try a WhatsApp group. Some people send a few, most forget, and the photos arrive in potato quality because WhatsApp compresses everything. You try asking people to email them. Two people do. You think about Google Photos, but not everyone has an account, and shared albums are confusing. A week goes by, then a month, and those precious moments start fading from memory - and from camera rolls that get cleared to make space for the next thing.

There's a much simpler way.

How Gather & Group collects photos for you

1

Before your wedding, you create your album and get a personalised QR code. Print it on table cards, stick it on a sign near the entrance, or add it to your order of service.

2

On your wedding day, guests scan the QR code with their phone camera. No app to download, no account to create - their browser opens and they can start uploading photos and videos straight away. It takes less than ten seconds.

3

After your wedding, photos keep rolling in as guests upload their favourites over the following days. This is when the really good stuff arrives - the considered picks, the ones guests took time to find on their camera rolls.

4

When you're ready, browse your album by person (thanks to our built-in facial recognition), download everything in full resolution, or just enjoy scrolling through your wedding day as your guests saw it.

What makes this different from other methods

WhatsApp groups and text messages

The most common approach, and the least effective. Photos get compressed, conversations get messy, and half your guests never send anything. You end up with 30 photos from the same three people and nothing from anyone else.

Google Photos or Dropbox shared albums

Require accounts, app downloads, and a level of technical confidence that not every guest has. Cross-platform friction is real - getting an Android user and an iPhone user into the same Google Photos album is harder than it sounds.

Wedding hashtags on Instagram

Only captures photos from guests who use Instagram, remember the hashtag, and post publicly. Private accounts are invisible. And you're relying on a social media platform to store your wedding memories - they'll get buried in a feed within days.

Disposable cameras

Nostalgic and fun, but expensive (£15+ per camera, plus development), slow (weeks to get photos back), and unreliable (blurry shots, cameras that walk off, film that gets damaged). For the cost of five disposable cameras, you could have Gather & Group collecting unlimited high-quality photos from every guest.

Tips to maximise how many photos you collect

Getting the technology right is only half the battle. Here are practical ways to make sure your guests actually use it.

  1. Make the QR code impossible to miss. Don't just put one sign by the door - put QR codes on every table, in the order of service, on the bar, and near the photo booth. The more places guests see it, the more likely they are to scan it.
  2. Mention it in the speeches. A quick "don't forget to scan the QR code and share your photos" from the best man or MC goes a long way. People are much more likely to act on something they've just been reminded about.
  3. Let us do the chasing for you. Add your guest list before the wedding and Gather & Group will automatically send each guest a personal upload link after the day. Reminders go out at the right time, stop as soon as each guest uploads, and you don't have to send a single message yourself.
  4. Don't stress about 100% participation. Even if only half your guests upload a few photos each, you'll end up with hundreds of moments you'd never have seen otherwise. Every single one is a bonus.

Frequently asked questions

How many photos can guests upload?

There's no limit. Guests can upload as many photos and videos as they like. We don't charge per photo or per guest.

What if some guests aren't tech-savvy?

The upload process is deliberately simple - scan a QR code, tap "upload," choose photos. There's no account to create and no app to download. We've designed it so that anyone who can take a photo on their phone can upload one too.

Do photos upload in full quality?

Yes. Unlike WhatsApp or social media, we don't compress your photos. What your guests upload is what you get - full resolution, ready to print or frame.

Can guests upload after the wedding?

Absolutely. Your album stays open for uploads, and many of the best photos arrive in the days after your wedding when guests have time to go through their camera rolls properly.

How does your facial recognition work?

Our system automatically identifies faces in uploaded photos and groups them together. So you can tap on a person and see every photo they appear in - whether they're in the background of a group shot or front and centre in a candid moment. It all happens on UK servers, not through third-party AI services.

I've already got a photographer. Do I still need this?

Your photographer captures the planned, polished moments. Your guests capture everything else - the behind-the-scenes chaos, the candid reactions, the moments that happen when nobody thinks a camera is watching. The two complement each other perfectly.
