Reviews we can’t edit

We don’t keep a testimonials page. Every review we have sits on our Google profile, written by the couple and out of our hands.

Why they aren’t on our site

A testimonials page is written by the company that benefits from it. Quotes get chosen and trimmed to the good bit, and the couple who had a disappointing time never makes the page at all. From the outside there is no way to tell a real one from an invented one, which is why testimonial pages are so easy to ignore.

Google works differently. The couple writes the review from their own account and Google hosts it. We cannot edit a word or quietly remove one we dislike. We can reply, and that is the whole of our influence.

What you’ll find there

Right now there are 20 reviews, averaging 5.0.

They tend to cover the same ground: guests scanning the QR code without needing help, including the parents and grandparents everyone worries about, and the moment the gallery fills up and every photo of one person can be pulled out at once. The features page covers how each of those works.

So easy to do. Everyone loved the QR code, even our parents managed to do it, and we now have loads more memories for our special day. First class service, 10 out of 10.

We could not afford a professional photographer and this enabled us to get lots of different photos from all our guests. Easy and quick the whole way through, from set up to downloading. I would 100% recommend.

I put the QR code on the table name tags and so far have 454 pictures. I can even tag a person and it will show me the photos with them in. It captures those unposed natural moments a photographer misses.

They are copied word for word, spelling and all.

How to check any wedding supplier

Worth doing for everyone you book, us included.

  1. 1

    Start with the profile itself

Quotes on a company’s own site are the ones that company picked. The profile shows you the rest.

  2. 2

    Look at the dates

Reviews arriving steadily over months is what a working business looks like. Fifteen in one week and then silence usually means someone asked all their friends at once.

  3. 3

    Look for detail

Real couples mention specifics, like how many photos they ended up with or which relative they expected to struggle.

  4. 4

    Read the replies

How a company answers a lukewarm review tells you more than any five-star one.

  5. 5

Be wary of a perfect score on a big number

Hundreds of reviews without a single mild complaint is unusual.
