This feature is available on Premium plans only.
Face recognition automatically identifies and groups faces in your photos, making it easy to find all photos of a specific person.
How It Works
- Detection – When a photo is uploaded, we scan it for faces
- Clustering – Similar faces are grouped together
- Presentation – Groups appear as "Person 1", "Person 2", etc.
- Naming – You give each group a name (e.g., "Grandma")
What You'll See
In the People section, you'll find:
- Thumbnail images of each unique person detected
- A count of how many photos feature that person
- The option to name each person
- Quick access to all photos of that person
Privacy and Security
Your privacy is important to us:
- Face processing happens on our UK-based servers
- We don't use third-party services like Amazon or Google
- Face data is deleted when your gallery expires
- No data is shared or sold
Accuracy
Face recognition is generally very accurate, but may:
- Miss faces that are very small, blurry, or partially hidden
- Occasionally group different people together (especially family members)
- Create separate groups for the same person in different lighting
You can manually merge and separate groups if needed.
