Once faces are detected, they appear as "Person 1", "Person 2", etc. You can give them real names to make finding photos easier.
How to Name a Person
- Go to the People section
- Find the face you want to name
- Click on the person's card or the edit button
- Enter their name (e.g., "Uncle Keith")
- Click Save
Tips for Naming
- Use names that are meaningful to you and your partner
- You can use nicknames, relationships ("Mum's brother"), or full names
- Names can be changed at any time
Searching by Name
Once named, you can search for people:
- Type a name in the People search box
- Filter photos by person in the main gallery
- Create downloads organised by person
Unknown Faces
You don't have to name everyone. Some groups might be:
- Wedding vendors or staff
- People you don't recognise
- False detections (not actually faces)
These can be left unnamed, hidden, or ignored.
