Photo Details & Metadata

Each photo in your gallery comes with additional information that helps you organise and understand your collection.

Viewing Photo Details

Click on any photo and then press the info button to see its full details:

  • Uploaded by – The guest's name who submitted this photo
  • Upload date – When it was uploaded to your gallery
  • Photo date – When the photo was actually taken (from camera data)
  • Location – Where the photo was taken along with a map (if available)
  • Full EXIF data - If available, shows the full technical details of the photo

What is EXIF Data?

EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) is information embedded in photos by cameras and smartphones. It can include:

  • Date and time the photo was taken
  • GPS coordinates
  • Camera model
  • Lens settings

Not all photos have complete EXIF data – it depends on the device and settings used.

Location Information

If a photo includes GPS data, we'll show the approximate location. This is helpful for:

  • Identifying photos from the ceremony vs. reception
  • Grouping photos by venue
  • Finding photos from specific moments

Note: Many guests disable location services on their phones, so not all photos will have this information.

Quality Assessment

We automatically analyse each photo for quality using blur detection. Photos are rated as from excellent to poor.

Use the quality filter to focus on the best photos.
